Motorized Driven Roller (MDR) Case Conveyor

Motorized Driven Roller (MDR) Conveyor uses low voltage DC motors, typically built inside a roller, to operate individual zones on a conveyor system. Zero Pressure Accumulation (ZPA) is achieved by controlling each individual powered roller.

MDR Conveyor has gained popularity over the last 10 years. As production volumes increase, costs of MDR have been reduced, AND, the performance benefits are now realized. MDR offers the following basic advantages: Energy Efficiency, Low Noise, Safety, and Modular Construction. MDR Zero Pressure Accumulation Conveyor can be the solution for your ZPA case conveyor needs.

MDR can be considerably more energy efficient that AC powered conveyor. Because MDR conveyor zones are individually operated, power is only used when product is in the zone. Power savings can be dramatic.

MDR is typically quieter because only the rollers in an active zone are moving. This operation also reduces wear and tear on the conveyor, reducing maintenance.

MDR conveyor is safer to operate because the powered rollers have limited torque. Safety equipment is typically simpler and less costly.

Finally, MDR conveyor is modular. MDR conveyor can be easily reconfigured and re-used. Without the heavy weight of AC motors, MDR conveyor is also much easier to handle and install.

Hilmot Corporation has extensive expertise with MDR conveyor. Since Hilmot manufactures MDR exclusively, they have more expertise than other conveyor manufacturers. Hilmot Corp. offers MDR intermediates, merges, diverts, accumulation spiral conveyors, curves, conveyor gates, sorters and other MDR conveyor devices.

Contact us with your next conveyor project. We will be happy to demonstrate the advantages of MDR Conveyor.
